#234.8 Pu-erh Xiao Yeh Tea

A loose leaf pu-erh tea (also spelled puer and puerh). Pu-erh tea yields a dark auburn cup that is sweet and earthy with a bright woody/bark-like character. Thisis Shou (cooked/ripened) not sheng (raw/green) pu-erh.
Use 1-2 teaspoons per 8 oz of water. Pour in a small amount of hot water (212°F) - the hotter the water, the stronger your brew will be. Swirl the water around to rinse out any impurities from the tea. Discard this water. Pour more hot water and let it steep for 2-4 minutes.
