Lapsang Souchong is also known as "Smoke Tea". A black tea from the Fujian province of China, this tea is processed over wood fires (pine or cypress) giving it a robust, rich smoky flavor. Produces a medium bodied cup, reddish amber color.
Use 1 teaspoon tea leaves per 8 oz of water. Steep in water that has come to a rolling boil or nearly boiling (200°F-212°F) for 3-5 minutes.
