Description:
Chai tea is a flavorful mixture of black teas and spices. It is inspired by tea making methods in India, where tea leaves and spices are simmered with whole milk, and makes a warming and revitalizing infusion. Technically this is Masala Chai, as "chai" is the word for "tea" in various Eurasian languages, and "masala chai" would mean a mixed-spice tea.
Brewing Instructions:
Use 1 teaspoon chai per 8 oz of water. Steep in water that has come to a rolling boil or nearly boiling (200°F-212°F) for 3-5 minutes. Strain, add hot milk, and sweeten to taste.
