Ceylon BOP is a very fine, low-grown (under 1000 feet), broken leaf tea from Sri Lanka that produces a dark cup with a good body that is mellow and brisk. This tea holds up well to the addition of milk and also makes a good base for blended teas. This tea is the closest we offer to the types of teas favored for chai in India or breakfast teas in England.
Use 1 teaspoon of tea leaves per 8 oz of water. Steep in water that has come to a rolling boil or nearly boiling (200°F-212°F) for 3-5 minutes. Strain, add hot milk, and sweeten to taste.
