Used primarily to add heat to dishes, this is a medium heat cayenne pepper. Rated at about 50,000-70,000 heat on the Scoville scale. Best stored in refrigerator if keeping long-term.
Additional Information:
The Scoville scale rates how much a pepper extract must be diluted in sugar syrup until the heat is no longer detectable. For example, our 60 Heat cayenne must be diluted 60,000-fold in order for the heat to no longer be detected.
