In need of breakfast ideas? Rise and shine with some of our breakfast offerings below or try our latest obsession, homemade granola. Granola can be enjoyed in the morning for breakfast, or when you need a slightly guilt-free snack, or at any other time of the day - it always hits the spot.

The recipe is easy to put together and ready in about 30ish minutes. It is also a pretty forgiving recipe, so you can use whatever dried fruit, nuts/seeds, oil, or sweetener you may have in your pantry.


HOMEMADE GRANOLA

Ingredients:
  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • ½ cup maple syrup/honey
  • 1-2 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup nuts &/or seeds (slivered almonds, walnut/pecan pieces, pistachios, pumpkin, chia, flax seeds, etc.)
  • ¾ to 1 cup dried fruit (cranberries, cherries, pineapple, apples, dates, etc.)
  • Optional: a sprinkle of brown sugar, chocolate chips, chocolate syrup
Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 350F. Mix all ingredients, except for dried fruit. (if you measure your oil first, then measure your syrup/honey in the same cup, your syrup will not stick to the cup).
  2. Spread the granola in an even layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper (crumpling up your parchment paper first will make it lay flat in the baking sheet).
  3. Bake the granola until lightly golden, for about 21 to 25 minutes. Stir the granola at the 10-minute mark then at the 18-minute mark. After the 2nd stir, press the granola with a flat spatula to create a more even layer and to help it stick together to create clusters. Then stick it back in the oven. When golden, take it out and sprinkle the dried fruit (chocolate chips, brown sugar, etc. if using) and let it cool for 30-45min. The granola will crisp up further as it cools.
  4. Store in an airtight container. It will be good for 1 to 2 weeks, but there are no guarantees it will last this long.
