peppercorns come from the same plant as green and black peppercorns. To produce
white peppercorns, pepper berries have been allowed to mature and then have
their outer skin removed. We normally offer what is known as Muntok white
peppercorns (from Indonesia). White pepper has an earthy, almost musty, taste.
It is a main flavor component of hot & sour soup and is commonly used in soups,
sauces, and potato dishes. Preferred over black pepper for cooking because it does not darken delicate sauces.
Packaged on equipment that also packages peanuts, tree nuts, soy and wheat.
